“Where Have All the Boot Boys Gone ?” asked Slaughter & The Dogs in 1977
Two years later Barney & The Rubbles found them.
In truth they never went away. The Boot Boys were the terrace hooligans who flourished from 1972, after skins, suedeheads and smoothies.
Their hair was longer, their collars bigger, their music more likely to be glam rock or bands like the Faces or Mott The Hopple. But they were working class yobs just the same.
This is our tribute to them – and the cults that followed them.
We’re All Boot Boys Now.
